The project is aimed at all boys and girls from 8 to 18 years old, attending schools in Salento, without any distinction. Sport, if lived as an educational practice and not just agonistic, becomes a privileged tool to contrast educational poverty because: - Offers informal learning contexts - Strengthens life skills (life skills) useful also in school and in society - Prevents isolation by offering protected socialization places - Promotes autonomy and psychophysical well-being - Breaks down economic and cultural barriers
The present project allows: - The carrying out of free or low-cost sports activities, so that even minors from fragile families can participate - Collaboration with schools and social services to identify boys at risk of exclusion - Accompanied training with educational workshops on legality, respect for rules, nutrition and citizenship - Collaboration with schools to contrast dispersion and abandonment - Periodic meetings with parents to build educational alliances - Prevention of bullying and violence with conflict management techniques - Prevention of eating disorders with health education modules and correct lifestyles Sport, when lived as an educational experience, becomes a laboratory of civil coexistence, respect for rules and personal growth. - Volleyball promotes cooperation, inclusion and team play - Karate educates to discipline, emotional control and positive valorization of one's energies In summary: the project is not just "sports", but becomes a territorial educational strategy that compensates educational poverty by offering boys and girls spaces for growth, inclusion and legality that are often lacking in fragile contexts.
